Job Description

In the owner operator role, you are expected to be a competent commercial vehicle driver. You will be responsible for the maintenance of your vehicle, which includes performing emergency repairs when needed. A key element of this role is to communicate effectively with clients, avoiding miscommunications, and providing prompt notification of delays or damages. Success in this role is demonstrated by the timely delivery of cargo in good condition as specified by clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Transports cargo to specified locations.
  • Conducts or arranges repairs and maintenance on delivery vehicles and equipment.
  • Plans delivery routes.
  • Inspects delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure operability.
  • Performs emergency repairs as needed.
  • Maintains records of deliveries and maintenance.
  • Coordinates with client firms to prevent misunderstandings.
  • Notifies clients of damages or unforeseen events.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Prior experience in driving large delivery vehicles.
  • Carrier Packet.
  • Valid professional driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Ability to work long hours.
  • Proficient in MS Office and road navigation systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective critical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Voided Check / DD.
  • Copy of Driver's Licesnse.
  • Proof of Insurance.
  • Signed Authority.
